Marcellin College Randwick

Aeterna Non Caduca | The Eternal Not The Transitory

College Counsellor

Carl Beattie is Marcellin's College Counsellor. Carl is a Provisional Psychologist and has a background working with children and young people. Carl works on site at Marcellin on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The school counselling service provided at Marcellin aims to manage the mental health needs of students using an evidence-based approach. It is the role of the service to support and refer students in order to minimize any mental health concerns that are interfering with a student's learning. Carl is in close liaison with Year Coordinators to address and manage student well-being.

If parents or carers have any concerns in relation to student well-being it is encouraged that they contact the relevant Year Coordinator to discuss available supports.

The Marcellin Graduate

They arrive as young boys dependent very much on their parents and their teachers; they depart as adults in the eyes of the law. Young men - citizens of the world. There is an impression that the Marcellin boy is cocooned on the eastern side of Anzac Parade. The challenge for him is that he sees beyond that into the broader world. He is a global citizen. He is called to reach out to others, to let go of any preoccupation with self. His destiny is, as
St Marcellin Champagnat foretold, to be a good Christian and good citizen.
