Raising Funds for the Black Dog Institute

Friday November 1 2019 is the day when our community comes together and walks for a cause.
This year, the money raised from the Walkathon will be donated to the Black Dog Institute.

The Black Dog Institute is dedicated to understanding, preventing and treating mental illness. About creating a world where mental illness is treated with the same level of concern, immediacy and seriousness as physical illness; where scientists work to discover the causes of illness and new treatments, and where discoveries are immediately put into practice through health services, technology and community education.

We would love to have as many parents involved on the day as possible. If you would like to help, please complete the "2019 Marcellin Walkathon Parents" google form via: https://forms.gle/4VMq7wpHiPMRwwFY9

The Marcellin Graduate

They arrive as young boys dependent very much on their parents and their teachers; they depart as adults in the eyes of the law. Young men - citizens of the world. There is an impression that the Marcellin boy is cocooned on the eastern side of Anzac Parade. The challenge for him is that he sees beyond that into the broader world. He is a global citizen. He is called to reach out to others, to let go of any preoccupation with self. His destiny is, as
St Marcellin Champagnat foretold, to be a good Christian and good citizen.
